Lachie & Patto’s ‘09 Autumn Melbourne
Mar/092
Well, i’m now living in Melbourne for Uni as all would probably know, and if not… I am now living in Melbourne doing Uni just so you know.
A day or so before the weekend, Lachie asked if he could stay at mine, with about 5 people.. When he then went on to mention who was coming, i became sooo keen for the weekend to arrive.
On Saturday morning, Lachie was going to be travelling up into Melbourne with Simo (Mt Gambier), Elliot (Radelaide), Tom (Radelaide) and Max (Radelaide).. Though, all didnt go to plan as Simo missed the bus the night before and was going to be heading over seperatly in the morning..
All was well with the others though with them safely arriving at Southern Cross on time.
First park on the agenda after we had regrouped was Camberwell..
Camby was pretty quite, so finding, testing lines for all was quite easy.
Lincoln rocked up to join the festivities of the day also, bring his A game with him.

If anyone can guess what this is, well done..

Lachie getting his steeze on over the spine

Meet Tom Harris, Radelaide rider, mainly a dirt rider, but can certainly ride park really well

Tom has his whips dialed now

Lincoln is steeze style and tricks all in one. Give him a set of bowls and a spine and he’ll feel at home.

Cambi developed into a pretty good session even though it was a warm up session for the rest of the day..
The decision was made to leave though after a stupid game of ‘lets gap as far as we can off the roll in’ turned for the worse.. I decided to hit it hard, and fast.. Boosting it high and really far, but started to nose in on landing.. Keep in mind this is a flyout gap =] Managed to hold it, but hit the fence. Rather scary… I think everyone else seemed more scared than i was…
From Camberwell, we travelled down the road to Glen Iris to ride Hill n’ Dale, the best concrete box’s around in the land =]
Elliot busting a whip over the hip

Ash, a darn little pinner! He goes huge, has his tricks dialed, and is total champ. 14yo also =p

Elliot showing that he is the devil, he is mischievious

Max fast plant on the hip

Lincoln.. Clicked can?

Elliot busting out high 450’s over the hip

Lachie showing you dont need 6″ of stack height to do a lookback

Lincoln hanging of the back of the bike… He owns this place

Ash getting all steezey and flat

Tom whipping the hip

Lincoln, 1foot euro to taybz

Damn kids stopping on the top of the boxes, there is no point stopping, even yet, try and hit them with a whip

Lachie has his tucks dialed.. Off anything, extended and smooth everytime

Jason busting out lofty 3’s over the 3rd

Elliot goes high, and flat. Elliot just being Elliot

Lincoln is such a character, always joking around, always with a smile on his face. This is Lincoln =]

Big enough??

Ash showing us all how to whip, showing he’s a step above the rest. Damn shredder

Me just trying to get my flow and steeze on.. Wasn’t feeling tricks at all this weekend.. Oh well..

Inverted… I just dont see why people struggle with them? Just knee, then arms and bang! Hurt of the shoulder on this

After our truely epic HnD session we decided to move on.. Everyone was getting near buggered and there was still one more park to ride…
We pack the ute, piled everyone in and headed to Box Hill, my new local with Lincoln and Jason

Soo high, sooo clicked, soo smooth.. God…

Lachie getting his air and taybz on

Lukey grabbing the tire

Lachie steezed azzzz

This just gives you a small insight into how big Lincoln actually goes, and how much he dominates any park he rides. His line choices are amazing, the way he rides them is even more amazing!

3′0ing spines is where its at

I’ll let you all decide.. Amazing? yesssss

Bars over the spine.. Elliot is so crwazy

Jason transfering from the small bowl into the middle bowl, laying it over euro style

We sessioned box hill for agesssss, with everyone loving the transitions and spine. Elliot was going off with the spine, no foot canning it and also busting out some 3’s!
Though we had to call the session to close rather early as we had to still make it to the train station, drop off my ute in the mean time and make it to the West Side for some Rampfest action =]
This is where we finally met up with Simo who had travelled all the way from Mt Gambier to ride..
Simo going big over the box

Elliot manned up, and threw down some 3’s over the box

Elliot, Max and Tom sitting.. waiting..

Gives you a perspective on the landing.. Not fun if the front wheel is up and your brakeless thats for sure…!

Didnt take too many shots during the session, was too busy riding. Though it was a good session at that.
We ended up traveling back to Box Hill, taking the train all the way… One thing is, dont get off the train 10 stops from your destination to go to the toilet and then get on the next train.. Could be pretty hectic with brawls, drunken hooligans bashing their girlfriends and them bashing them back all while throwing up and threatening everyone that blinks =]
Other than that, we arrived back to mine safely, in time to head out that night for some drunken antics =D
Next morning.. Well, afternoon we decided to have another ride as the train for the boys wasn’t going to be leaving till about 7pm.. We had to wait while Elliot arrived back on the train from his wild night out…
The decision was made, another session of no other than, Rampfest.. My 3rd time in three days….
We managed to make it there in good time, though to pick a bad session filled with scooters, little kids, and idiots with no etiquette what so ever…
We still managed to fill in a good session, with Lincoln going massive over the box and in the bowl..!
Tom getting his flat on

We didnt spend too much time at Rampfest, more sitting around doing nothing, and a few box sessions..
We instead moved on to our last place of interest, South Kensington..
I advise you dont let Jason take lead in directing, nor drive down an on ramp of a Hwy… Can get messsy and scary hahaha
Eventaully, though, we found the place, more by mear chance than anything =p
Lincoln instantly starting shredding this place, like he does everywhere really…

Lachie getting his air on

One thing i can understand though, is whyyyyy no one sessions these jumps! their amazing and flowy!! Jason was tearing the them up sooo well

Sadly, this was going to the moment that we’d have to say goodbye to the boys as they had to leave back for camperdown for their Warrnambool riding the next day =[
Was soo good having them venture over our way finally, instead of us spending all our money travelling over there every few weeks!! You better do it more often!!
Radelaidians Rule
UHF walkie talkings dominate, truckies are gayyy

Box Hill Represent!

Star wipe… and, cut…
